Frost & Sullivan Report Names Avaya No. 1 in Australia in IP Telephony in First Quarter 2003

Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of communications networks and services for businesses, today said Avaya is now Australia's undisputed leader in IP telephony with 36 percent market share for the first quarter of 2003 according to a new report from Frost & Sullivan.

The report, Asia Pacific Enterprise IP Telephony Market — Quarter One, 2003, examines the IP Telephony market in terms of revenues for the first quarter of 2003. The Asia Pacific market, including Japan, is now estimated to be worth US$49.975 million.
